저는 뒤늦게 소명을 받고 돌아온 탕자 목사입니다. 목회자의 가정에서 태어난 모태 신앙으로 형식적 신앙 습관은 있었지만 하나님을 인격적으로 만나지는 못했습니다. 그러다가 고등학교때 이민을 오게 되었고 계속해서 무신론자의 삶을 살았습니다. 열심히 노력해서 소위 말하는 아메리칸 드림을 이루었습니다. 그러나 아메리칸 드림 끝에 저를 기다리고 있었던 것은 행복이 아닌 허무함이었습니다.
허무함을 해결하기 위해 하나님을 찾게 되었고 극적으로 예수님을 인격적으로 만나게 되었습니다. 그리고 주님께서 나에게 바라시는 것은 아메리칸 드림이 아닌 주님의 드림을 이루어야 함을 깨닫고 목회의 길에 들어서게 되었습니다. 전적으로 주님의 은혜입니다.
탕자의 경험이 있기에 주님을 만나지 못한 영혼들에 대한 눈물이 있습니다. 또한 새누리 선교 교회가 이민 교회로서 지역 사회에 영향을 미치며 나아가서 열방을 향한 주님의 비전에 동참하길 소원합니다.
김태훈 담임 목사
Pastor Sung was born in Korea and grew up in Brazil, where he worked as a physical therapist before God called him into full time ministry.
He received his Masters in Divinity degree from Gateway Seminary and is currently finishing a D.Min. degree.
He currently serves as the youth and college pastor, and also helps the Korean ministry with media and occasional preaching.
He is married to Soo Jee and they have a beautiful daughter, Joy. He also enjoys playing and watching sports, variety shows and listening to good worship songs.
정성오 목사 (Youth Ministry)
어릴때 외할머니를 따라 예수님을 믿게 되었고 결혼한 후 남편을 따라 미국 이민 생활을 시작하게 되었습니다. 가족 사항은 남편, 두 딸과 두 명의 사위가 있습니다.
신앙 생활도 계속 하면서 이민자의 삶 속에서 신앙 훈련도 받게 되었습니다. 직장 생활이 끝나고 주님이 신학교로 인도해주셔서 2022년에 캘리포니아 개혁 신학대학 & 세미나리에서 M.Div로 졸업 했습니다. 그리고 지금은 같은 학교에서 상담학 박사 과정을 밟고 있는 중입니다. 코칭도 함께 공부 중입니다.
주님이 제게 주신 꿈은 예수님 닮은 기독교 상담가가 되는 것입니다. 이 일을 위해서 제게 주신 말씀은 이사야 61장 1절과 이사야 50장 4절 말씀입니다. 마음이 힘든 사람들, 신앙 생활 중 어려움을 겪는 기독교인 뿐만 아니라 도움이 필요한 모든 사람들을 돕고 싶습니다.
서기정 전도사
Jennifer grew up in San Francisco and graduated from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in Arabic. In 2017, she spent one month teaching at a school in Mexico and serving elementary children. She came back from the one month realizing God’s great love for children and with a strong conviction to follow wherever He would call. God continued to show her His broken heart for the lost, and eventually in 2020, He called her to a nation the Middle East for one year to serve the Muslim people there. After returning to America, God led her to come back to the Bay Area to serve the children’s ministry here at NCMC. Jennifer has a heart for children and missions, and believes that God desires to raise up the children and next generation to be leaders who are wise and filled with his word, who will shine bright like the stars in the midst of darkness and lead many to righteousness (Daniel 12:3).
